Regulatory Applications
The WWC Series Weathercap is designed for installation on open-ended vent lines and safety relief valve discharge piping in applications subject to 40 CFR §65.114.
When properly installed on a clean, smooth pipe end of the correct outside diameter, the Weathercap functions as a resilient cap that seals the open ended line during normal operation while automatically opening when process flow occurs through the vent line or relief valve.
In addition to environmental protection, the Weathercap:
• Provides a physical cap for open-ended lines during normal operation.
• Provides a resilient seal over the smooth open ended line under normal operating conditions.
• Automatically opens during relief events or process venting without requiring operator intervention.
• Provides a clear visual indication that a relief valve has actuated, or that fugitive emissions are being released.
• Manually resealable following discharge when properly installed and undamaged.
The owner or operator remains responsible for determining whether the complete installation satisfies all applicable regulatory requirements, including 40 CFR §65.114 and any other federal, state, or local regulations.

Sizing Information
Weathercaps are sized according to Nominal Pipe Size (NPS). Because the actual outside diameter (OD) differs from the nominal pipe size, always select the Weathercap based on the pipe's measured outside diameter. Refer to the sizing table below to verify the correct Weathercap before ordering.
